By creating an account or using Quiz Gumbo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Quiz Gumbo is a web-based platform that allows users to create custom trivia quizzes and share them with guests for entertainment purposes. The Service is operated by Quiz Gumbo and is available at quizgumbo.com.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information when registering
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

Quiz Gumbo offers the following plans:

• Free: Unlimited quizzes with up to 5 questions each, at no cost
• Pay Per Quiz: $9.95 one-time payment per quiz to unlock up to 50 questions
• Monthly: $12.95 per month for unlimited quizzes with up to 50 questions each
• Annual: $99.00 per year for unlimited quizzes with up to 50 questions each

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method.

Subscription plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — no refunds are issued for partial periods.

Per-quiz purchases are non-refundable once the quiz has been accessed by guests.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Create quizzes containing illegal, harmful, harassing, defamatory, or obscene content
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose other than as expressly permitted

6. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you create on Quiz Gumbo, including quiz questions, answers, and uploaded images. By using the Service, you grant Quiz Gumbo a limited license to store and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not sell or share your quiz content with third parties.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms of Service. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your quizzes and associated data will be permanently deleted.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quiz Gumbo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new terms on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the United States.
